    The landscape of the Zittau Mountains, Saxony's youngest nature park, rises imposingly with its sandstone rock formations and unspoilt nature along the blue ribbon of the Mandau. The Schlosshotel Althörnitz is gracefully nestled in a 30,000 square metre park in the municipality of Bertsdorf-Hörnitz. Situated at the easternmost tip of Saxony, in the border triangle of Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic, it is part of the Zittau Mountains holiday region in Upper Lusatia.
