Our romantic Umgebinde house is located in the textile village of Großschönau in the Zittau Mountains Nature Park - in the beautiful Upper Lusatia. Situated directly in the river floodplain of the wild-romantic Mandau and at the tri-border area of Saxony - Czech Republic - Poland. Großschönau is counted among the most beautiful villages in Upper Lusatia and is the gateway to the Zittau Mountains. With a comprehensive ensemble of historical Umgebinde houses, our small community is an open-air museum of a special kind. There are stunning houses and an extraordinary landscape to discover everywhere.

Our 4-star holiday home is located directly by the Mandau, a stream whose rushing sounds are a balm for the soul. From the house, countless walks and hikes can be undertaken, for example along the Mandau; many paths are flat and thus suitable for all ages of humans and animals. Just a few meters from the house, fresh rolls and bread can be obtained daily from Tuesday to Saturday at the Kneißner butcher shop. The "Zur Aue" inn is located right next to the butcher shop and also offers the option to take away warm meals to enjoy in the holiday home. The holiday home Sissi was built in 1790 as a classic Umgebinde house. The former weaving room (block room) now serves as the living room.
